Class and events

Every month we organise beginner knitting classes and knitting/ crochet events. Places are limited, you could sign up through our helloasso page, contact us at goodthingslyon@gmail.com or simply pass by our store.

If you couldn't attend for any reasons, please let us know as early as possible, so people who is on waitlist could join the class :)

🌰TRICOT STUDIO 🌰 - our beginner knitting class

Tricot Studio is a 2-hour open workshop for beginner knitters who are learning the basics!

You can come in to learn specific techniques, get help with a project you've already started, or start a new project! We could help you find a beginner-friendly patterns based on your skill level. Class will be in little groups, very friendly and cozy.

TIME

Friday and Sunday afternoons 15h - 17h

PRICE

20€/ for one class or 50€/ 3 sessions

We also have a monthly pass at 60€, with which you could attend as many weekly classes as you want. It's perfect for anyone who wants to knit a sweater or a bigger project.

INSTRUCTOR 

Wang (she/her). Wang is a former costume designer who is very passionate about modern knitting and creating our own wardrobe. She would love to share the skills and to discover the joy of handmade with you. And yes, she could teach you knitting in English.

PROJECT

This workshop is not project specific. You can bring a pattern or project idea if you want, or nothing at all, and we can help you get started on something fun!

SKILL LEVEL

This workshop is for anyone at the following skill levels:

Absolute Beginner (Knitting)

Advanced Beginner (Knitting)

If you are looking to learn a specific technique, we teach the following in this workshop:

Knitting techniques: long tail cast on, knit, purl, knitting ribs, binding off, seaming, adding a new ball of yarn/changing colors, weaving in ends, basic decreasing (knit two together), reading patterns, joining to work in the round, picking up stitches, understanding gauge.

REQUIRED MATERIALS - available for purchase at the shop

Required materials will vary based on your project. If you are looking to start a project we have lots of recommendations in the shop. You are also welcome to bring projects you have already started, or other materials from home.
